We offer superb luxury accommodation - each room is equipped with a double sit-on-top kayak for you to explore the lagoon and its fantastic bird life. Kayaking is an enjoyable excercise and relaxes you when enjoyed in this setting. Tranquility Lodge has its own hot pool for you to relax in and enjoy. We have also arranged two complimentary excursions for you: The first is a bridge walking tour on the Bloukrans River Bridge - home to the worlds highest commercial bungy jump and Africa's highest bridge. The second is a tour of the local mampoer distillery located on the Buffalo Hills Game Reserve.

Tranquility Lodge is situated at one of the Cape Coast’s finest fishing grounds - rock, surf, estuary and fly fishing. Natures Valley is situated at the end of the legendary Otter Trail and has a variety of hiking trails where you can explore forests, waterfalls, ancient Khoisan Caves, estuaries, or take yourself off on a 'mini otter trail' hike. This area is also one of the best birding areas of the Cape. Golf, bungy jumping, whale watching, dolphin watching, ocean cruises, scuba diving and mountain biking are just some of the delights close by.

We can also arrange for a number of different holistic health treatments in the privacy of your own room! The spa can be brought to you. This is a great place for a romantic weekend away.

Our hosts will welcome you with their charm and delight you with their culinary expertise. Dining can be enjoyed indoors in the spacious and open plan dining area at the large family style yellowwood table, or on the outdoor verandah overlooking the lush indigenous garden and into the top of the tree canopy - giving you the feel of being in a tree house. Tranquility Lodge has an open braai area next to the swimming pool and the private and unique hot pool.
