what should i wear?
A good sunblock and comfortable outdoor clothing.
time period
A fishing trip is normally about 6-7 hours dependent upon a number of factors such as sea conditions, the weather and the number of fish that has been caught. The boat leaves at between 5 am and 6 am (depending on the time of the year) and normally returns between 1 pm and 2 pm.
Weather
A charter may be postponed (at the sole discretion of the skipper) due to bad weather and / or sea conditions. In this case, another charter will be arranged at your convenience. It is advisable to phone us before the charter to get an update on the weather.
Participants
We take 8 people fishing at a time? Commercial boats, have strict safety regulations. In terms of our licensing by SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authorities) the boat is only certified to carry 12 people including the skipper and the crew further than 5 nautical miles from port.

Allure gets new life. After all these years she has been refurbished with new technology. This was made possible by her new owner, Bushy Coltman, who has years of experience in fishing and boats. Len Hutton, with 29 years experience up and down our East Coast, is now skipper of Allure. He has 7 years operating fishing charters on the St. Lazarus Banks in Mozambique and in Tanzania where Len boated a Black Marlin of 293kg / 646lbs off Zanzibar
A Durban Legend
Allure was the top tag and release boat over the 2003/2004 marlin season off Durban with 28 fish tagged and released. In December 2002 Allure bagged the record for the biggest marlin caught off Durban, a black marlin of 506lbs.
